About Us

Hayden's Auto Supply was founded in 1962 by Frank A. Hayden. 

Our first store was opened on Route 5 in Leonardtown Maryland. In 1969, we expanded about 15 miles to the south, into Lexington Park, with a store on Great Mills Road. Following the same formula to the North, our Mechanicsville store was opened in 1980. Hayden's Auto Supply was incorporated in 1984. Charles Hayden succeeded the late Frank A. Hayden in 1987. Since then, our Machine Shop in Lexington Park has been updated and expanded with new equipment and services. During this same time period, extensive remodeling and modernization of all stores was accomplished. In April of 1993, we moved into new office space, and expanded retail space in our Leonardtown store and warehouse. Most recently, in March of 1998, our store/warehouse facility, on Route 235 in the California area was opened for business. 

Our current operation includes all 4 original stores, the machine shop,
and a warehouse operation. 

In April of 1999, Hayden's Auto Supply, Inc was invited to join
Federated Auto Parts. Federated Auto Parts Distributors is one of the largest auto parts marketing groups in the country, with over 3600 Federated Auto Parts Stores and more than 3000 Federated Car Care Centers, nationwide.

Federated's partnership agreements with major national manufacturers is most evident on shared logo packaging from Anco, Borg Warner, Cardone, Dayco, Douglas Battery, Drive Plus, Hastings Filters, Plews, Precision, Raybestos and Versachem. 
Federated was the first marketing group to promote this concept. 

Federated Auto Parts is the Official Sponsor of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in Nashville, TN. Additionally, Federated sponsors Ken Schrader and Boris Said in NASCAR's Top 3 Touring Series.
